Seeking a sole mate !

I’ve been working on trying to get the kitchen finished and it’s almost there. I am quite impatient when it comes to getting things done and pretty much want everything done yesterday. Unfortunately lack of both time and money means everything takes a bit longer now !

Still, it’s painted and there is just some tiling to do, so I’ve taken to doing the finishing touches !

I wanted to create a little laundry accessory area, so I painted a pine wooden shelf and twin daddy fixed it onto the wall and it was ready to accessorise !

I saw a ‘seeking sole mates’ sign on the internet and thought I would give it a go and try and make my own. I had lots of left over paint sample pots and brought a cheap wooden sign for £1 that I could use.
After painting the sign I used stencils to mark out the wording, then I stuck on some Dolly pegs and some of the girls odd socks and it was done !

I loved the vintage feel of the Dolly pegs and thought it would be nice to store them in a glass jar. I filled a basket with pastel washing up brushes and cloths and framed a laundry print. I found a cute peg bag that adds to the shabby chic feel of the kitchen and fixed some hooks to the shelf to display it. I added some ‘ Laundry’ signs to finish off the look !
