Come and knock on our door

So halloween has been and gone and I’m slightly disappointed to be taking down the decorations , though it’s only a month  before I start Christmas decorating !

We had a great halloween week, though clock changes and teething meant I walked around like a zombie for most of the week! I took the girls on a spooky ghost train and a pumpkin hunt, and they loved answering the door to the trick or treaters !

The house decor was a ‘Salem Witches Tea Room’ I decided to dress the girls as a witch and her cat. They looked so cute ! I moved the pumpkin patch to the front of the house and added a little witch standing guard at the door.

I’ve been saving my plastic bags for weeks now and bundled them into one and covered with a bin bag to make the witches in the house and garden. I used sticks found out on a walk as the bodies and just added a little hat to finish it. I made a made a little tea room in the kitchen with the ‘stick’ witches. I love the skeleton tablecloth and I made a little tea room sign.

For the trick or treaters the girls gave out witches fingers and pumpkin marshmallows !

My favourite halloween finds this year were these cute pumpkin melts (they smell divine !), a terracotta pumpkin and the corpse snow globe. It has little bats floating and plays ding dong the witch is dead !

Finally, we’ve enjoyed some yummy food from cupcakes , toffee apple crumble and, as we had a date night last week I made up a halloween babysitting kit.  It’s been fun ! Until next year !
