I’m so excited to start preparing for Christmas ! Christmas Eve is my favourite evening by far ! Last year we started a tradition of Christmas Eve boxes. I had read about them and loved the idea of starting a new tradition for the girls ! I decided that I would give boxes to friends and family for a little early treat to have on Christmas Eve !
I have designed some Personslised box tags for the boxes this year so if you are looking to start a new tradition this year check out our ideas !
So, first off pick a box. I found this really great box from Homesense. They have a really great range and lots of choice and this one is one that can be re-used year after year so perfect if it’s a box for your own family. The works also have a great range of cardboard boxes all different sizes which are perfect if you are making a few for family and friends. You could always use a shoe box and wrap it in Christmas paper.
Decide who you are making it for and this will help when deciding what to put in it. For my girls I had Christmas PJ’s, Twas the night before Christmas book, reindeer food, santas magic key , and candy canes. I popped in one of Yankees Christmas Eve candles and Meet me in St Louis which is one of my favourite Christmas films. I made up some cookie mix and put it in a jar so we could all make santas cookies together.
For friends and families boxes I did a mix of treats including hot chocolate, reindeer food, books and films ! I had little stickers made up from the girls so these could easily be added to the wrapping – I used them on these candles wrapped in tissue paper. I also made up little socks and nail varnish for the boxes – perfect for some Christmas Eve pampering !
This year I decided I would have a theme for the boxes and as a lot of the products I’ve designed are based around the idea of believing I decided that ‘ believe’ would form the theme. The film I have chosen is The Polar Express and I will add in a little believe bell from our Christmas range ! I will keep you updated on more ideas throughout the lead up to Christmas and don’t forget to check out our Facebook page for products to pop into your box !
