Last Christmas the girls were only a few months old so I decided instead of a chocolate advent calender I would do a daily advent of Christmas Traditions. It really made the most of seasons festivities and although they won’t remember any of it I loved doing it. So, as we are only a couple of weeks away from the beginning of December I thought I would share some ideas for anyone looking to start some new traditions.
I started off by writing out the traditions on little tags and popping them into small envelopes , which I numbered 1-24. You can arrange the traditions around certain days depending on work/home commitments and I popped in a few quicker ones for days where we had less time.
I hung them on some bakers twine with little pegs attached ready to open one a day. This year I found these really cute numbered toppers over at Hobbycraft so I only need to pop the tags in envelopes.
Every morning open an envelope with a tradition and don’t forget to take a picture to look back on !
I’m really excited to do them again this year and I think it will be lovely to look back on over the years as the girls get bigger and more involved ! Here’s a few of my favourites from last year !
